Our Chess Legacy
Newcastle District Chess Association, established in 1961, is a renowned chess club in Newcastle, NSW. Our distinguished history and commitment to excellence have made us the go-to destination for chess enthusiasts seeking competitive play and camaraderie.
Our experienced club chess players are available to help guide beginners and novice players, ensuring they gain confidence and improve their skills. To support new and lower-rated players, we also host Under 1200 & Novice Tournaments, providing fair and enjoyable competition.
While many players compete online, we encourage you to come and experience the unique social and competitive benefits of Over The Board (OTB) play.
